PROJECT MANAGER / DEVELOPER

As a student from the Creative Media Industries Institute at Georgia State University, I found myself immersed in a building dedicated to exploring Esports and game development as viable career paths. Seeking to broaden my horizons, I joined a remarkable team in crafting a virtual reality game within Unreal Engine 4.

While I didn't identify as a developer per se, my role within the group involved project management and aiding in the overall presentation of our project. Our creation, "Escaping Uprise," revolved around the narrative of an underground bunker featuring a level system designed as an obstacle course for players. To enhance the experience, we integrated a grappling hook mechanism and the ability to defy physics, encouraging users to think creatively within the game.

This endeavor allowed me to step into a leadership role outside of my comfort zone, despite lacking extensive game development expertise. I discovered that my skill set, although not centered on game development, still proved valuable in supporting and collaborating with the other developers on the team.
